Production Data Interface 2.0 (PDI 2.0)
Key features
- Unique data access point by connecting to an OPC UA server
- AISA machine physical firewall
- User management
- Managed refresh rates and data normalisation
- Connection to any customer MES or ERP systems
- Calculation of complete AISA line statistics

How it works
The PDI 2.0 makes the data generated by all machines and sub-systems inside the same AISA network available on an OPC UA server. After identification, our customers are able to gather data connecting with their own OPC UA client. Once the data is collected, customers are free to use it to their convenience, for example in a MES or ERP system.
The PDI takes care of the data collection, no matter the communication protocols inside the AISA machinery network. Data is moreover normalized and a managed refreshing rate is applied, so that it is ready for a direct customer usage, while avoiding any overload of the system.
Use cases
Machine statistics
All statistics are available on your machine. You can per default access them via the machine HMI.
Thanks to the PDI 2.0, we make the tags behind the statistics available to our customers for a potential connection to a MES system, where you can then build an overview on the productivity of your entire shopfloor equipment.
Operational awareness
Link the current machine mode to more in-depth information to build further statistics and analytics in a logic of continuous improvement.
From the PDI 2.0, you recognize that your machine is currently in production mode. An unplanned stop occurs. It might be characterized by a machine default, non-conform raw material or a simple “mis-operation” from your production team. Enter the reason for the unplanned stop and start building statistics around incident duration and occurrence to put corrective actions in place.
Workorder management
Thanks to the PDI 2.0, you are able to send your workorders directly from your ERP system. Raw material references and machine recipes will be instantly loaded to maximize your machine availability.
If a manual setup is required, the PDI 2.0 lets you create a configuration checklist that requires the acknowledgment of the operator once the tasks are completed. From there, start your new batch production.
AISA line statistics
You are running a line with multiple AISA machines? Besides the statistics characterizing every single machine, the PDI 2.0 calculates the line productivity and its generated scrap.
Recover the tags behind those KPIs or visualize them via a web page on a machine HMI or your preferred device, like your laptop, tablet or smartphone.
